Daydreams are “an altered state of consciousness”, making them part of our imagination, flowing endlessly in our minds like a stream of water.

 

Inspired by Refik Anadol’s optical art, the work makes use of line illustrated-motifs that feature nature and the movement of water. Through the overlapping of motifs and the use of colour, the work aims to create an illusory motion and dimension of a flowing stream to evoke the fluid nature of our imagination that exists in our daydreams. 

 

The process began with hand drawn sketching of the various motifs to be used for the design. These hand drawn motifs were then digitalized.
