My project startet with a curiousity about the 1950's style - the gentleman look. It continued with a love for the "good nor bad" personality of James Bond, which was written in the 50's as well, and my project was also very influenced by the minimalism of the 90's mixed together with inspiration from contemporary japanese designers approach to fashion. Focusing on asymmetrical lines and the use of classical elements in a new way, I created my first menswear collection, sewing two outfits to show my pattern making skills as well as tailoring and design.

I wanted my collection to be slow-fashion, and with that I mean the use of the clothing I made will last for several seasons - not only for one. Also, the clothing is not to be manufactured in a industrial way, I would like it to be tailored and have a great fit for the man who purchases it. I used natural materials such as wool and cotton in almost all the styles.

The collection is made for the confident man, who dares to try something new yet holds on to the classical elements in menswear. He is not afraid of being seen as arrogant or too authorative, being a natural leder in most work related sitations. He is good looking and has the neither good nor bad energy surrounding him - making him mystical and hard to read.

These combined I introduce my take on the new formal dressing, enjoy.
