The theme of this year's Homecoming, "Cal is where the heart is," informed the visual style of cross-stitching which is often seen in home decor and is a symbol of warmth and comfort. We wanted attendees to truly feel they are returning home to a place that is familiar and one that welcomes them wholeheartedly. The famed Campanile was celebrating its 100th birthday at the time and is appropriately placed inside the heart.
