The Corridor
Prosthetics and SFX Makeup Assistant
I had the opportunity to work with Makeup and costume stylist, Sanelle Vosloo, on a third year AFDA
experimental film directed by Wesley Byrne (The Corridor, 2012). We were given the objective to build
a prosthetic forearm onto the actress, Ludri Kay Strohfeldt’s arm with the purpose of cutting it on screen.
The prosthetic forearm had to be layered with tubing and coagulated blood with the purpose of
spraying blood as the prosthetic skin was cut.
