Seclusion - Mountain Residence

SECLUSION | Mountain Residence

Seclusion is the design for a live/work residence in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee. The design for this project revolves around a clear seperation between the living spaces and the studio space, creating a personal campus for the resident(s). The material selection, shading devices, and location on site all relate directly to the program within each building. Soem sustainable practices were also designed into this project such as a wind turbine to capture the mountain's wind, and sun shading that stops unneccessary thermal heat gains.
