Competitor Study
Casual dining restaurants being the focus of this research, effort has been taken to study three prospective competitors to know what kind of systems they have in place and what makes it work for them with respect to branding, furniture, lighting, wall finishes, floor finishes, décor and layout design.
Redefined Brief
Retail design for a concept based, casual dining buffet restaurant where the customers will be provided an exclusive dining experience. Apart from being an upscale family restaurant, it will also focus on targeting the corporate bandwagon surrounding the neighbourhood. Location will be selected based on lifestyle of local demography and income levels. This restaurant will be equipped with exclusive service methods that cater to the needs of the audience in focus. The branding and identity (colours, shapes, and typography), graphic design, packaging design, furniture design, lighting and wall finishes should be in-sync with the concept of the restaurant and the psychographics of the targeted audience.
