Environment Design for Source Engine
DM_VENOM is a Half-Life:2 Deathmatch map created using entirely custom assets. I produced every texture and model and custom-tuned every effect to achieve a unique look. The design goal of the map was to produce a close quarters, fast paced arena with two side areas for supplies and resources.

The environment was planned from the beginning as a learning tool. Being the first environment I've created using entirely custom assets, it was a wonderful opportunity to learn how to create models and implement them into the Source Engine, learn how to add interesting lighting to unireas, optimize a map, and plan/craft an environment from concept to final piece.
