The Vignola Book is a 16th century compilation of etchings detailing Vignola’s architectural intellect. Printshops would assemble a mix a prints for a desired customer, so no two books are alike. Almost every print has a ghost image on its verso usually of another print in the book. My infographics explore specific trends of the ghosted images. This Vignola does not have a specific date so Dr. Geoff Taylor, SCAD’s Art History chair is studying these relationships to more accurately date the book, which might reveal who the master printer was that oversaw it's creation.
