Facelift
I've volunteered some of my time recently to assist in a logo design for an old climbing friend. Ryan Alonzo is an extremely talented photographer who is better known for his photography of Yosemite National Park. The new logo design reflects the dynamic nature of his outdoor photography. If you take a peak at his site, you'll understand why I came to this conclusion.
The Buffalo Audubon Society was looking for a new way to present their identity, all the while retaining their iconic beaver symbol. After doing some research, I discovered that the majority of the visitors were children on field trips. My approach to the project was the attempt to create a logo that incorporated a beaver, but with a contemporary spin. The resultant palette was to accommodate a more adolescent audience.
Buffalo State College was tasked with designing a logo for an event which was to span the 2011-2012 year. It was to celebrate the collective arts at the college and their attention to the student body. I was commissioned with the responsibility of creating a logo that fit a very vague topic. The expressive "Pollock-esque" splashing of the form was representative to the raw emotion that goes into an artistic venture.
The Minority Bar Association needed rebranding done to reflect their connection with the City of Buffalo more effectively. It was interesting to take the unoriginal concept of a skyline and giving it some art deco treatment.
