SEMPERING

The verb “to semper”, in architecture and design suggests a constructive action on a material or component able to leave a significant trace on the final product. The Sempering exhibition at Mudec museum in Via Tortona focus on certain usual actions in the contemporary design practice. At the root of its structure and curatorial choices there is a simple concept, the continuous need of review for mediums and aims, “methods” and “shapes”.
WOOD-SKIN it is just in front of the Folding section, the installation wants to simply explain the technical and expressive possibilities of the material, which, thanks to our patented process can be programmed in order to get endless shapes and functions. Not necessarily complex free form but also pure straight volumes defined by a series of planes, folded in fact. Within the same surface it is possible to switch from one kind of geometry to another one, changing function and resistance performances.
A simple wall can become a beam at first, then a ceiling lamp and finally a bookshelf without shape limits. A WOOD-SKIN surface can change function depending on needs.
Thanks from WOOD-SKIN!
