This was for a badge designing competition hosted by Habbo in conjunction of their Mental Health Campaign by Ditch The Label. The brain instantly came to my mind when they mentioned "mental". Since cute badges are mostly favoured by users, I decided to make it kawaii looking with simple and colourful colours.
First draft drawn in Illustrator.
I made a grid over it and use the Live Paint Tool to colour it. Added some shading to it too.

After saving it, Illustrator makes these thin visible lines due to their anti- aliasing thing. Don't you just hate it when that happens?
So I exported it to Photoshop and it helped remove the lines. Although there are STILL a tiny bit parts where you can see them if you zoomed in.
That is all ~ This is my first time doing pixel art with proper shading. Any tips and feedbacks are greatly appreciated!
