VAQ Spring 2016
This issue of the VAQ focues on the effects of microbeads. Microbeads—microscopic spheres of plastic—are often overlooked because of their size. However, common beauty and hygiene products use microbeads and they eventually find their way into waterways where they are ingested by animals. The cover art is meant to draw attention to this problem and help raise awareness among our members.
