This project is the result of creating a letter a day for thirty-six days straight. My goal was to take a different
approach to each letter and have fun with experimentation. It also allowed me to open up more as a designer
and define my own style. I think there is a notable progression from beginning to end in which I become more
comfortable with taking liberties and exploring new techniques.
I gave myself a 90 minute time limit for each letter. Every letter was completed on its day of assignment,
starting with the letter A and ending with the number 9. The project ran from March 29, 2016 through May 3, 2016.
36 Days of Type is a project that invites designers, illustrators, and graphic artists
to express their particular view on letters and numbers of our alphabet.
36 days of restless creativity, where participants are challenged to design a letter
or number each day, resulting in the representation of the same
symbol from many different perspectives.
It's a project that aims to be a space for creation around typography and its
endless graphic possibilities.
