Northwestern Memorial Lake Forest Hopital's Bedside Bistro menu included numbers on each item's calories, carbohydrates and sodium; and graphic icons that indicated the items classified as "heart healthy." It was a lot of information to pack into a menu, so it had to be well organized for a quick read of that information without confusion.

The menu for Feinberg Pavilion inpatients was a complete revsison and design update of what previously existed.

The "special" menu for the Feinberg Inpatient Pavilion was similar to the regular Feinberg menu in design and content but was intended for patients with particular nutritional needs and restrictions. When compared with the regular version of the menu, the special menu had certain foods replaced with healthier options, carbohydrate counts indicated for all foods and a different cover image for easy identification of the two different menus by food services staff.

The menu design for the then new Prentice Women's Hospital was intentionally light and playful for women who were going about the serious business of birthing a child.
