Liang You 良友 (The Young Companion) was a monthly magazine published in Shanghai, China from 1926 to 1945, that showcased intimate views of the lifestyles and interests of women at that time of political and social changes. Every issue featured a woman portrait or photograph highlighting various modern female identities at that time. Here, 3 magazine covers that were published through the 1930s are reinterpreted and being photographed as current magazine covers, depicting the current modern Chinese women identities.
