"When I see a white piece of paper, I feel I've got to draw. And drawing, for me, is the beginning of everything." Ellsworth Kelly This collection started like a blank canvas. First came a curve; then a circle followed, soon after, by the power of abstraction. A tribute to Ellsworth Kelly, pure geometric forms led to structured cuts: curved neckline, funnelled collars and superimposed, kinetic woollen jacquard are part of a broader composition. Bold and sculptural, polished plexi necklaces further reinterpret Kelly’s monochromes. Staging a Kazimir Malevich silhouette, a spectrum blue jumpsuit and a dark nude neoprene coat draw a parallel with modern art where volumes and colours stand out, open to interpretation.
