Hand lettered song lyric poster created from John Denver's "Calypso" (1975). The song was written as a tribute to the work of explorer Jacques Cousteau, a close friend of Denver's, aboard his vessel the Calypso. Cousteau conducted important research of "the silent world" and was among the first to study the impact of pollution on sea life. Denver cared deeply for the environment and wrote "Calypso" to show his appreciation for Cousteau's efforts.
