The idea was to create a visual that discussed the flaws of Mexican culture, its customs, behaviors and tendencies that have lingered with the country, ie: racism, discrimination, self-centered attitudes, etc. We revolved that idea around the concept of death. Death is portrayed as the attendant of a "Puesto de Tianguis", a flea market stand, and what he sells is pretty much these items that stall our progress as a society and can ultimately destroy it. Creative process was worked with copyright master: Julieta Gutman and the illustration was done by me, using graphite, inking and some photoshop editing. The poster was done in the style that honors Jose Guadalupe Posada, a great Mexican illustrator that was known for work on Day of the Dead art.
