The brief was to document some of the behind-the-scenes action at the Aston Martin factory (located in Gaydon, Warwickshire, England) in the final hours before the brand new assembly line designed to build the new Aston Martin DB9 was switched on for the very first time.

The shoot included photographing the production line, portraits of technicians, designers and engineers, and photographs of the prototypes and clay models within the secret R&D rooms.

I was also asked to attend the launch of the new Aston Martin DB9 in the South of France. I documented our drive in the car with Michael Harvey, Editor-in-Chief of Top Gear Magazine which took us to the gates of the Ferrari factory in Modena, northern Italy and back.

During the two day trip we stopped in Portofino, Modena and Fiorano, as well as in numerous other scenic places in between. After dropping Michael off at the train station in Modena, I had a joyous seven hour solo drive in one of the finest sports cars ever made all the way back to Nice. Nice indeed.
