EZİDİ SÜRGÜNÜ

Ezidiler, Işid’in vahşi saldırılarından kaçmak için Şengal’de dağlara sığındılar. Yazın kavurucu sıcağı altında uzun bir süre yardım bekleyen halktan susuzluktan ve açlık sebebiyle ölenler oldu. Bu göç, insanların kendi hayatlarını kurtarmak için yapılan zorunlu bir göçtü. Arkalarında yaşadıkları kenti ve evlerini bırakan bu insanlar, ellerinde bir kaç litre su ve üç beş eşya ile Türkiye sınırına göçe başladılar.
Araçlarla yada yürüyerek başlayan bu göç günlerce sürdü. Pasaportu olan Ezidiler Habur Sınır Kapısı’ndan Türkiye’ye giriş yaptı. Pasaportu olmayanlar için Kuzey Irak’ta PKK, Haftanin bölgesinde bir kamp kurdu. Bu kamp Ezidilerin toplu bir şekilde Türkiye sınıra gönderilmesi için bekletildiği, sağlık ve yiyecek gereksinimlerinin karşılanması için oluşturulan bir kamptı.
Kavurucu sıcak altında günlerce yürüyen insanlar yeterli kalabalık sağlandığında Türkiye sınırına daha yakın bir bölgeye araçlarla getirildiler. Burada barınma ve yemek ihtiyaçları ile bir gün daha bekletiliyordu.
Ertesi gün hamile kadınların ve çocukların çok fazla olduğu gruplar, kayalık ve dağlık alanda araçların çıkamayacağı yerlerde zorlu bir yolculuğa başladılar.Sarp kayalıklarda zorlanan yaşlılar katır ve battaniyeler ile bazıları da kendi çocuklarının sırtında taşındı. En büyük sorunlarından biri su ihtiyacıydı.
Türkiye’ye ulaşan Ezidilere bölge halkı yardım etti. Ezidiler için sınıra kadar toprak yollardan traktörlerle içme suyu taşındı.Yine bölge halkının araçları vasıtasıyla taşınıp okullara yerleştirilen insanlar, burada kamplar oluşturulana dek yerleşmeye başladılar.

Displaced Ezidi's
After the terrible attacks by the ISIS, Ezidi's fled into the Sengal mountains to find shelter. Waiting for help under the extreme heat some died from thirst and starving. This migration was a migration of people who wanted to save their lives. Leaving behind their homes and towns, migrated to Turkish border with a few liters of water and a couple of belongings in hand.
The migration went trough days in cars and on foot. Ezidi's who had passports got into Turkey through the Habur border crossing point. For the ones that didn't have passports the PKK set up a camp. This camp was set up for the Ezidi's who were waiting for entering into Turkey and where they would receive food and medical care.
Under extreme heat when a larger group was made people were brought close to the border line by cars. They waited here for another day and had accommodation and food.
The next day the groups that had mainly pregnant woman and children started their trip through rocky mountains where cars cannot go. The older who had difficulties walking on the rocks were carried in blankets or on their children’s backs. The biggest need they had was water.
The local turkish population helped the Yazids who made it into Turkey. Drinking water was carried with tractors for Ezidis. Again with the trucks of the local population the refugees were carried to the schools were they were received until a real camp will be constructed.
Aftte their basic needs were supplied by the population living around the schools, the Ezidi's waited to go to the camp constructed by Afad in Silop and in Ezidi villages of Midya close to the town of Batman.
