Privatsphäre - Privacy Book Cover Design

Early in 2016 I designed a cover for a swiss book which will be out in late May. It's a study about Privacy and how it already is a lost good.

The logo for the german word "Privatsphäre" (Privacy) is simple. Instead of the "Ä" dots I put in a spyglass which stands for the observation and control. Also the "Ä" is the source of a spotlight, which also refers to the surveillance from others. An other design medium I thought of were the use of fingerprints, all around the cover. Additional to that they could work as a "red line" and show up through the whole book.
