Biblioteca de Marvila
Marvila's Library is a concrete open-space building, designed to accommodate a new library concept. For that, they needed a very simple, low cost and functional signage solution that could be adaptable enough to allow the library to change room names and directions when necessary.

The solution was to fix the signage in a background plate (perforated aluminum) with a screw system that allows to change easily the signs. Introducing color coding helped to identify what is information, service/facilities, and rooms. The universal iconography and the font were kept simple to make the signage as legible as possible.

This system also give room for daily communication such as events program and information related to the library that was usually fixed on the walls and windows.
