Rizwan Anwar is a Pakistani pop vocalist; known for his melodious & touching songs. His soulful voice & music has emerged as beautiful OSTs of many Pakistani television dramas.
I was assigned with the task of creating a visual identity system for Rizwan Anwar whose symphonic tracks have nuances of
traditional Pakistani music with a contemporary approach.
The exploration of ideas started while I listened to Rizwan's Laiyan Laiyan track & started doodling. Initially I sketched somethign entirely based of his name in Urdu script (left page) but later it turned out that what was required was something more symbolic (right page). And it turned out that single emblem with the Urdu glyphs was a hit!
So the sketch was rendered into a fine vector-based logo. Two renditions were made & the first one was chosed.
Now the hunt for color & type began.
A very dynamic palatte of cool colors was chosen & finalized to render the logo in color. Walkway Bold was paired with the emblem to cut through the curves with balanced geometric type.
The colors were applied to the logo to create variations. The multicolored option made it to the media.
