”During 2015, the new bank notes of Sweden were introduced. The new notes are decorated with famous swedish cultural figures on one side, and with different parts of the country, associated with each person, on the other side. Why do the new notes look like this? Why these people, this theme and this design? Are they representative for Sweden? And more important, are they representative for today’s Sweden, Sweden 2016?”
Sverige 2016 is a project that shows a new government identity, an identity representative for Sweden 2016. The work is based on surveys, the knowledges of various professors, statistics and facts, and does not consider either traditions nor values. Sverige 2016 is not made to be used, but a way to show today’s Sweden.
