I recently completed a design for a logo for a client opening a new hair salon in Pretoria.  The client had a strong direction for the logo - purple and black colour scheme, and using a pair of scissors.  I decided to draw the pair of scissors as close to actual scissors used by hair dressers and use a strong serif font to complement it.
