I chose Coco Chanel as my famous figure and used her 'CC' logo as a pattern to create a black and white portrait.

We also had to utilize this illustration in an ad for an upcoming event. After some extensive research on Ms. Chanel, I decided to make the event a hat exhibit, as that is actually where she started out in the fashion world.

Modern, gold type pairs nicely with the black and white portrait to keep the overall design clean and elegant. 

The ads will be most effective in large scale where you can take in the whole image from a distance and then really see the detail of the portrait when up close.
