CONCEPT...
An homage for the migrant workers, may your work be honored and may your bodies be strong. This collection is a response to the working conditions of farm workers in the rise of the recent boycott of Driscoll Berries. In an ideal world it would be that these workers were treated fairly with respectable pay and working conditions. This collection is a series of uniforms that would adapt to the environment that farm workers endure on their day to day work hours. These uniforms are to secure their body, to aid them with their work.

The collection would be made with durable materials, such as denim and canvas wovens that would last the terrain of the fields. The color palette is meant to reflect the land they work on as well as act as camouflage for stains and other terrain marks left on the clothing. Linen and Cotton is also incorporated for breathability in the hotter, humid climates. Several parts of the body are protected and assisted in the use of stretch braces for support and protection of the knees and cushion. Hoods and hats that stretch over the neck to protect from the sun as well as longsleeve and full length pants to protect from the terrain and the sun to protect the skin. The addition of bright nametags are used within the clothing to give the workers back their identity as human beings, having them bright makes it one of the first things someone sees as they view a uniform terrain. Although the collection is shown on female figures, it can easily be translated as unisex.
