Bank walt was the second 3d slotmachine I produced visuals for. The game is online on  Spilnu.dk and . Also it was the first to feature an animated character. The game would center around Bank Walt, in a 1920 american art deco bank setting. The game features 2 bonus games and several win-animations centered around Walts every day at the bank. I created the visual concept, produced, rigged, animated and composed the character as well as win animations.
The Vault game is considered popular among players
This sketch was the initial template for the 3d camera and for the scale of Walt in the scene.
The rendered and composed version of the main gamespace. Light rays and blurs where added in After effects to generate depth and atmosphere.
The approved concept for Walt accompanied with a turnaround for the modeling process which was undertaken in Maya.
The approved Walt-model, shaded and textured for the game. I also did the rig for him, which was needed for the animation process.
A few still made for marketing:
Colour concepts for the room I modeled in which all the games win-animations took place. The symbols of the games are reused in this room, so that the win animations could center around the objects. Hence several of the objects had customized rigs, so that Walt could interact with them in the win-animations.
Several props and game symbols. Rendered and composed for showcasing.
Two separate win animations. The animations launches when a win combination is made on the slot machine.
One of the more complex models was this westchester chair. To create the authentic 1920 atmosphere I chose to rely on realistic materials and hi-quality look.
Yet another complex model, which was also rigged, so that Walt could type on it.
The realistic look of the leather and stitches was achieved with a glossy shader and a normal-map, to keep render-time down. It was also rigged and is featured in the game filled with gold-coins.
An authentic bank-lamp.
