This is a "school" project, completed as a part of the Developing an Illustration Project course at the Edinburgh College of Art, April 2012.
It's an illustrated novella "One Arm" by Yasunari Kawabata in the form of a printed out hand-bound book. The illustrations were made in acrylic and white ink on acrylic paper, the texts were added up later in computer. The patterned paper for the cover is from the collection of origami paper.
The novella text was taken from a Kodansha Int edition of the book "House of The Sleeping Beauties and Other Stories", translated by Edward Seidensticker, and printed in Japan.
