    The Gesäuse region has spent the last years in what can only be called a state of slumber, while 100 years ago it was one of the strongholds of tourism. But in the time of ‘action tourism’ and the competition from the western part of the Enns Valley it became less important. Due to the current trend of experiencing nature in a more puristic way – that is especially appealing to the younger generations – the Gesäuse region being the only national park in Styria positions itself in this direction. In the course of the rebranding we created a magazine that does not follow the usual rules in tourism. The magazine is based on the authentic pictures by Stefan Leitner and the use of the font Sectra Display in combination with the font Avenir. This way we were able to establish a unique mix of fonts that is enhanced by the continuous use of the variable grid system. In addition to black and white we chose pure colours. The colours were extracted from the pictures by Stefan Leitner meaning that these are the colours of the Gesäuse itself. Read Less
