Union station light study

Introduction
This is a study of how light acts. The objective was to capture the light on paper in a drawing using pencil crayons on canson paper.

Prep
Materials used
-Canson paper
-Bond paper
-Pencils
-Pencil Crayons
-Ruler
Phase 1 fine a spot at union station and do a quick drawing of the layout and the perspective that will be used.
Phase 2
- Make a cleaner version of the same one for approval
Phase 3
-Do a light study on canson paper, trying to capture what the light is doing. do this while returning to the same location.
Phase 3
- this is the second light study also on canson paper
Phase 4
- pick an appropriate colour of canson paper and tranfer the approved perspective to it trying to make it look the same if it is done by hand an isnt printed. In this case it was done by hand.
Phase 5
-Try to capture the light and shadows properly on a larger scale using the light studies for reference.
Final Image
Conclusion
I am somewhat happy with the final image. I think that if i used a different paper and or a different medium it would have turned out much nicer. I didnt take as much time as i should have with this particular project. The shadows definatly turned out better then the different hues. I would do this one again and put more time and effort into it but I feel the perspective isnt all that bad.
