Cordwainers Court
A new-build student accommodation block completed in 2014. Located in the heart of the East End, close to the Hackney Empire and Theatre, it was designed by architects Fraser Brown McKenna.
Yates Associates were appointed to undertake the full design of MEP services, with a brief to achieve BREEAM excellent.
An array of PV panels were located on the roof alongside a garden terrace.
The client was the Worshipful Company of Cordwainers, which is one of the oldest livery companies in the City of London, who linked with the University of the Arts for the accommodation of young talent in the fashion and shoemaking industries.
