The Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment organises an annual day-long public discussion that allows students to present their work and be critiqued by a panel of internationally respected architects and architectural professionals.

The annual event known as ‘The Big Crit' will see students from all stages of the architecture course deliver presentations of their work, as well as provide leaflets and three-dimensional models to clearly explain the thought-processes behind their ideas.

Each year the organisors FIFTYSEVENTEN hold a competition for the poster design and select the winner to represent this event.

For my submission I used photographs of Aberdeen city from the 1940's and used a double exposure effect.
The two photos were of the top of Aberdeen's Union Street looking down from castlegate, and the other from Houlbourn Junction at the other end of Union Street. By using these photos I wanted to celebrate the city's archtecture and heratage.
