Tucson Firefighter's Memorial
The Tucson Firefighter’s Memorial is located at the front entrance of Fire Central, 300 Fire Central Place, Tucson, AZ. The entire memorial, including each statute, was designed by and created by Paul Olesniewicz. The project started in 1999 and was completed in 2009. It consists of 5 life size bronze statues, black granite walls, and a historical timeline of the Tucson Fire Department etched on stainless steel panels. The names of the fallen firefighters are etched on the front of the granite walls.
The statue depicted in the front of the granite wall, entitled Fallen Hero, is a bronze statue standing over 6 feet tall. It stands in perpetual mourning, looking at the names etched in the granite wall, of the Tucson Firefighters that gave their lives in protecting the citizens of Tucson.
