| Project Objective |
The objective for this brand was to create modern and stylish patterns and designs to be placed on packaging for a smoothie company. The message that I will want this brand to communicate to consumers is that they can enjoy a healthy, trendy and organic drink without having to worry about how hidden ingredients or distasteful packaging. 
 
| Research |
When conducting research on this industry I have found that this product has a wide range of styles, colors and patterns used. When narrowing down on my target market, I have decided to use three distinct, bold colors that tie into the color of my fruit choices and will be able to easily grab the attention of consumers. I will also include hand drawings that will be used as a pattern on the outside of each carton as a decorative aspect, but also to quickly inform buyers of the type of smoothie they are purchasing.

To visually communicate the message of my product, I used vivid colors and shapes to quickly get my brand message across in consumer's minds. While using bright color choices I also felt that it was important to have clean-cut lines and a simple atmosphere to avoid consumers from getting distracted or confused from my design. I chose to package my smoothies in cartons verses plastic bottles because I feel that packing in cartons is becoming more trendy and it takes less toll on the environment to produce them. I want my audience to feel like they are purchasing a product that they find pleasing to the eye and funky while also knowing they are drinking a product that is a healthy drink choice. I want people to grab the product off the shelf because they find it uniquely designed and interesting, but I want them to put it in their cart when they realize that it is a healthy product.

The target market for this product is not specific because I want people of all ages to be able to enjoy a healthy drink choice. It may appeal to a younger audience because of the use of color and design technique but I am hoping that its functionality of being in closeable carton witll appeal to moms on the go, people who can't finish and want to save the rest for later and people who appreciate a product that is organic and has not added sugars or preservatives.
