Super Awesome Bitter Wisdom (2016)

I developed the concept and naming for the Awesome Foundation New York's Super Awesome Bitter Wisdom. The event was hosted at the Ace Hotel New York and produced by Charles Phillipp, myself, and the other trustees of the New York chapter of the Awesome Foundation.

Super Awesome: Bitter Wisdom is a new take on The Awesome Foundation New York's Awesome Talks series. We'll be hearing stories and advice from people who, despite setbacks and pivots, kept their aims true and end up doing something awesome. You'll also learn a bit about how the New York chapter runs, and how you can apply for their monthly $1,000 no-strings-attached grant.

The Awesome Foundation is an ever-growing worldwide community devoted to forwarding the interest of awesome in the universe. Created in the long hot summer days of 2009 in Boston, the Foundation distributes $1,000 grants, no strings attached, to projects and their creators. At each fully autonomous chapter, the money is pooled together from the coffers of ten or so self-organizing “micro-trustees” and given up front in cash, check, or gold doubloons.
