I have been positioned as the subject matter, with the publication serving as an investigation into my creative history and journey that lead me to the place I am now as both an individual and as a designer. It serves as a coming-of-age document that questions self-identity, and self-branding.
A mash of experimental elements and broken grid challenge design rule norms - a visual description of the internal struggle many young women face. My intention was to question societal norms surrounding social media, body image, celebrity idolisation and comparison by placing a seemingly mediocre topic (myself) on the platform that we lay so many others. The result is an emotionally dense book that records both pleasant and unpleasant life phases that have ultimately resulted in who I am as an individual today.
