How we created a brand and its products from the ground up
The Different Network is an ongoing project commissioned by Generationally Relevant Media, in St. Joseph Missouri. They asked us to create their brand, marketing materials, all of their websites, to organize and create their database architecture, and come up with an end-user workflow that was easy enough for people with a very wide range of ability with computers to use and manage.
They are creating a network of "curated aggregation channels" that help direct internet users to profile pages of small business owners, artists, communities, and neighborhoods, that travelers and searchers would have otherwise not known existed.
Part of our ongoing contract with The Different Network involves creating and maintaining social media profiles. Here is one of the images we produced for one of the posts we've recently written.
Creating a Brand New Content Management System
Building something from scratch is an excellent opportunity to make it function precisely how you want. We were asked what the best course of action would be in managing thousands of different user accounts with many complex and customizable privilege settings; at first, we thought WordPress or some other substantial CMS.
We, however, chose to create a new system from scratch, which would afford us the ability to make it everything The Different Network wanted it to be, and nothing they didn't.
Content is all mobile responsive.
Evolving with the Different Network
Through our relationship with The Different Network and Generationally Relevant media we've been able to build on and develop many skills we originally didn't hold in our mental toolboxes. We evolve with and for our clients.
