Marby Food Ventures: Logo & Packaging Redesign

Marby Food Ventures
IDENTITY & PACKAGING DESIGN

A BRIEF BRIEF
In an effort to generate new business, Marby Food Ventures was approached and presented with the following logo and packaging proposals. Having no prior brief from client, the designs were based on analysis of their current brand identity and packaging architecture vis-a-vis category competitors and current market trends.

STUDY A
Logo: Currently the logo consists of a baker perched atop the brand name. To address the awkward way the brand elements were combined, I made a slight modification to the current logo by flipping the baker image.  This is so that the baker 'moves' in the same direction as the brand name (from left to right).

STUDY B
Logo: With the brand having been around since the mid-70s, it was time to update the brand's image. This study proposes an overhaul of the current logo as a means of strengthening the brand. The logo was reimagined into an icon using the letter M wearing a baker's hat. By owning the letter M in their category, consumers will still recognize the brand even if the name isn't spelled out.
