Tree Smarts is a new educational program for high school students created by Groundwork Bridgeport. Its mission is to educate the youth about taking care of trees in the urban environment, also known as the “urban forest”. Our task was to create a workbook presenting the content in a fun and engaging way.

 

Our process involved figuring out the best way to engage young students. By breaking up the content into digestable portions and creating eye-catching illustrations, we were able to come up with a style that is pleasing to the eye, and highly functional. Feedback from actual students was also included in our creative process.

After several meetings and drafts, we were able to execute a product that both us and the client were happy with.
