Greetings!!!
 
ive been hard at work creating some new work for a little upcoming exhibition! the theme of the show is based upon a selection of buildings on Union Street in Aberdeen, Scotland... i was given the Capitol cinema (former music venue, cinema, nightclub) which is now an office block perhaps... anyway!!! i based these drawings on it, and im very happy with them... the last few images are screen shots of a digital version which will be blown up to an A0 print! funfun

this was a close second... but hmm... something didnt sit right for me.. . who knows, i can change my mind very rapidly... :D

this is the version i chose to develop further.... to create a much larger print i needed to digitize things... the original size of this was a3, so to pump it up to A0 i definitey needed some tweaking... which was way more hardcore than at first anticipated... i used to use live trace in illustrator to create vectors, but my penmanship is so detailed and tiny that its more trouble than its worth to live trace... hehehe...

some prgress shots of my digitisation... it also allows me to add many more tiny details... i dont know when to stop, like scatching a scab... what can you do ;) its funfun...  i shall hopefully get some snaps of the finished article in the expo very soon!! it opens in a weeks time... meeeep...
