Since Manifesto had a speakeasy concept, which means we were going for ultra secretive, I suggested to the client that we not use the bar name or address on the calling card. Card only contained phone number, which guests needed to know to get inside, and the tagline, "cocktails liberated", which I wrote.
Simple, accordion folded menu that was reprinted quarterly. The following images are a progression of the menu as the drinks changed each season. The menu was inspired by library card catalogues. Each drink specified the method in which it was prepared (shaken or stirred), the glass it was served in, the name of the cocktail and the ingredients used. I also wrote the copy on the bottom of the menu: Drink early. Drink often. Speak easy.
This is one of the last versions of the menu I did for Manifesto. As the menu grew, we had to lost certain things, like establishment rules, found on the original opening menu. The cover art with the eagle was previously on their coasters (designed by Hammerpress)
