This restaurant is an upscale cookie shop which specializes in milk and cookies. Homemade cookie recipes that my client made with his family were featured at the restaurant, along with locally produced milk. Not only did I create an entire identity for him, as you saw with my project “Plum Dandy Cookies & Milk Identity,” but I also designed all of his primary advertising and print materials which were distributed to his customers and featured in local magazines in the Saratoga Springs, NY area. The advertising I focused on was a fun concept of hand drawn arrows and icons that would suggest the feeling of a happy customer writing on a magazine or signage about how pleased they were with their experience. I really wanted clean layouts, as the client had a ton of product he wanted to list out. At one point there was over 4 to 5 pages of content to be put expressed on small areas, but I succeeded in producing a cohesion and highlighting important aspects for the customers to make sure what this new concept of Plum Dandy Cookies & Milk was all about. When printing these pieces we tried to make sure that the colors were consistent with our print vendor, along with the fine edges of the pieces, as those corner edges really brought together all the printed pieces and would be recognizable when a customer saw those edges in other mediums, like a magazine print ad or coupons.
