LONDON NFL FRANCHISE
There has been many plans to introduce a London based NFL team over the years. However one of the main problems with this is that British people arent the biggest watchers of the sport. I found in my research that people are much more likely to support a National team, and will watch their games. I decided to then brand the franchise as a British national NFL team.
I started by looking at British icons and symbolism to come up with some ideas and names. I sketched many designs and these three were my favourite. Monarchs, Buzzards, Prides.
`After developing these three designs I ended up with these logos. They are based off the design of current NFL logos and British national team logos. I decided to use Monarchs as the British punk style behind it worked well.
The kit design had some classic British influences too, including Fred Perry and the mod culture. This would help with merchandise sales in both the UK and US as the style is very popular in both countries.
