This project was done for a module in Temasek Polytechnic along with two other classmates, Rachel and Rashiqa. The project name and tagline, Are You Infected?, is a question to everyone. In references to how smartphone users were like zombies, this question was asking if you were addicted to your smartphones. Most people would think they aren't but if they cannot go without the gadget for a day, clearly they are  unaware that they are already addicted to the item. 

The client for this project was Media Literacy Council and the objective was to inform people about smartphone addiction; how it is far more widespread and severe than most people would believe. 

Creating a lateral poster, television commercial and new media advertisement, our jobs were distributed based on our strengths. I was to handle the poster, typefaces and any work that required my Photoshop skills. Rachel handled our administrator items as well as organising our slides for presentation. Rashiqa directed, filmed and photographed the items. Amirul, Khalif and many others had kindly helped us as models in our work. 

The posters were edited while referring to the zombie tutorial on Youtube. The background, cinema seats, was an image taken from Google. Typefaces used are DKFaceYourFearsII, which can be downloaded from Dafont, for the header and Proxima Nova for the body text at the bottom. The lateral poster was to show the transition form a smartphone user to a zombie user. This was to show smartphone users as identical to zombies. The text at the bottom is some facts to show credibility in the problem of smartphone addiction as seen in some World Wildlife Fund (WWF) advertisements.

The new media advertisement was a video to play during the wait before the movie, preferably a horror movie, is screened. Usually there would be a 'Please silence your mobile phone' message. For our campaign, this video would be played. 

The original idea was to have zombies entering the cinema to tell any users to silence their phones. Originally, we did not want to have the zombie hunter as it would be adding a new cast for only one of the three advertisements. In the end, we placed him in to show the severity of the addiction and a slight sense of fear.
