CALL OF THE WILD

This project is to create a regional destination itinerary for new trend of wild-experiences (wildlife/wild plants/wild scenery/wild paths) which covers all seasons. The existing trails are nothing more than roads across the wood. However, locals are strongly interested in preserving and enriching the nature. The project is intended to create routes for people to experience different wilds with least interventions.
It starts with regional research of seasonal recreation and landscape resources. When it comes to the site, bald eagle and black bear are chosen as exemplary species as well as human for study of their use of the site seasonally. Islands are created or modified as paradises for eagles or bears. A corridor is created for bears. A smooth path along the cliff is for birders with several roosts on the path. Wetlands are for storm water purification and reduce the water velocity. Two swales on the slope will prevent erosion of the mountain.
