Salt & Honey Cyanotype Workshop

Some of the designs I created during the workshop. We used "Sun Art" cyanotype paper for this workshop and it worked out really well for us!
I created some stencils for the participants so they could experiment with layering effects. Here are some folks developing their designs in lemon water. (lemon juice helps the designs set at a nice, deep color)
One of the stencil designs I came up with. There are 2 layers that you put in the sun seperately and the parts that overlap expose more, giving you darker area.
Standing out in the sunshine, waiting for my design to expose!
Another 2-part stencil.
Here's a design I came up with on-the-fly. In this one I experimented with foliage and dry erase marker. I was too lazy to think of any other words so "Explore" is used 4,000 times.
The 2-part flower stencil.
Here are the 2 seperate stencil pieces. Each stencil was cut out with a silhouette machine.
Look how great this student's piece turned out! She combined foliage with dry erase marker to get this awesome look.
There was a chalboard in the room so I had to slap a little something on that, obvi.
Sketches for my stencil designs.
