Face2Face with Marriage Equality

Face2Face with Marriage Equality is a personal project consisting of photographic portraits of LGBTQ+ people and straight allies in Ireland.
In May 2015, Ireland held a referendum on marriage equality. Face2Face invited anyone who was voting yes or supporting a yes vote to get involved.
Face2Face wanted to show that LGBTQ+ people are part of every family and friend group. We are of every gender identity, age, race, ethnicity, ability, religion and background, and marriage equality affects us all.
In the three months running up to the referendum, Face2Face held 4 photoshoots around Dublin and photographed over 500 people who support a yes vote for equal marriage. These photos were then shared on each person's personal Facebook page to prove that everyone in the country did know someone who the referendum would affect.
On the 23rd of May 2015, marriage equality was passed into law with 62.1% of the population voting yes.
Thank you!
