Doxmo | Vehicle for 2040

This concept was part of the 2013 Challenge between Grabcad and Makerbot.

'Doxmo' originates from the Mexican indigenous language Otomí, and it means skull.
I was inspired mainly by mammal skulls, because they shelter one of the 'most important' parts of an animal, the brains.
Nowadays the inverted pendulum system of some concept vehicles has proved to be feasible technology that could be applied in the near future.
2040 is about 24 years from now, and I don't believe that by then we will be able to fly, or levitate; to me that is not a reasonable option for cars at the moment. I do, however, know that some ideas have been revolting around this concept, but there is much more interest for other rather than spreading new technologies at everyone's ease.
Therefore, this is a two-wheeled electric vehicle, mainly thought for cities and car sharing. It includes one engine on every wheel, and at the center of the vehicle you can find the operating aspects that allow it to stay in balance while moving; it also has a third wheel in front for descending.
The large windscreen will use OLED's so there won't be an need for dashboards. The steering wheel will also disappear by the time mind controlling technology is fully developed in the future [like the 'autoNOMOS car' in Germany).
Materials in the future will certainly be lighter, stronger, and (I hope) finally sustainable ('from cradle to cradle') providing electric vehicles with longer periods between charges.
The structure of the car will be made using the FiDU technology ('Freie Innendruck Umformung': Free internal Pressure forming).
