Genesis: Sands of Rebirth is a 3D Platformer with environmental terraforming and elements of Emergent Gameplay.
Working as a Gameplay and Wind System programming, including checkpoint programming and wind mechanics.
Prototype developed in conjunction with 3 other programmers and 4 artists, Concordia University students, for Ubisoft Game Lab Competition 2016.
I worked in the generator of environmental wind and wind mechanics, the developed system generated wind curtains that could move in the world, and change it independently of the actions of the player. This system was able to affect the player, but at the same time be affected by the player, meaning he/she could change the trajectory of the wind by creating some mechanics (ingame: sand rising, positioning obstacles).
